Join Us for a Home Landscape Transformations Workshop

Native plants hold the key to solving landscaping challenges.

Join us this Saturday to learn how ecological landscaping can relieve landscape headaches, enhance your outdoor living space, and benefit our ecosystems

On Saturday, July 18, Our Land Organic’s founder and managing director, John Hemmerle, is leading a workshop about Home Landscape Transformations that will feature real-world examples local to the Cincinnati region.

The class will be held in person at the Cincinnati Nature Center from 10 to 11:30am. Tickets are available here

Our Land Organics transformed this backyard with a hardscaped patio and native plant landscaping, creating an outdoor living space where the family can connect with nature and each other

What You’ll Learn in this Ecological Landscaping Workshop

Join us to learn:

  • How ecological landscaping can help solve rainwater management issues, transform overgrown landscape beds into beautiful pollinator gardens, restore woodland areas that have been overrun with invasive plants, support best practices for edible landscaping, and develop relaxing outdoor living spaces

  • Examples of local residential projects that highlight diverse landscape problems and goals and break down how these needs were met via ecological landscaping

  • Why a thorough landscape consultation and design process is vital for solving landscape challenges effectively

John will incorporate perspectives from over a decade of experience in ecological landscape design, native plants landscaping, landscape architecture, urban planning, forest restoration, and more, with an eye toward building a future where people steward our landscapes in harmony with nature.
